Finished Project - Bridgestone Keirin
I recently swapped out the gray Michelin Pro you see in the pictures with a new Soma Everwear (5mm thick!). It was so thick that I had to add an extra chain link in order to clear the bottom crossbar joining the chainstays. As you can see, the axle was right up against the back end of the dropouts with my previous setup.

Quake Update!

No, this has nothing to do with Huf.
Three earthquakes rattled through the Berkeley Hills in the past three days. I felt two. Seismologisis said that the quick succession of earthquakes is probably a coincidence, that there is no reason to get excited unless the shakers start topping magnitude 4.0 or so. Ok.

USGS earthquake map here. Google satellite map of the epicenter here.
There have been 314 earthquakes throughout California and Nevada in the past week alone, none of them greater than magnitude 4.3. "The Inconvenient Truth" plus earthquakes, equals a not-so considerable place for real estate investment, no? Run for the hills! Zombies!

Shoreline Run

Today, I took the other half to my weekday East Bay shoreline run. Driving in heavy traffic just to get there easily transformed me into a greedy optimist. The weekend + SF drivers = Ignorant Road Monkeys. Anyway, during my lunch break at work I'll ride to Point Isabel Shoreline Park then turn back because I only have an hour. This time we rode all the way to the Richmond Marina. It was a nice ride session, even through dismal weather.

Ride time: 2.5 hours
